Chocolate. Chip. Cookie. Pie.
I could say no more and just show you this photo and you would be hooked!
I won’t do that to you though.
I will tell you that this is the tastiest cookie pie I have ever tried. You might know by now that I like to sneak add nutritious things into a recipe or smoothie. Yes, I find great pleasure in watching people’s reactions when they say “oh, that’s so good.”
Or when my kids suck down a smoothie that has kale, beets, and spinach in it.
Or when my kids and half the neighborhood kids eat green whip cream colored with none other than spinach.
Enter this delicious cookie pie. How about sneaking in some fiber? Garbanzo beans. Two cans of organic garbanzo beans to be exact.
Thank you again, Katie at Chocolate Covered Katie. She’s really good at leaving out loads of sugar and getting a little sneaky at times. I love it! My kind of girl.
You will find the recipe here. So yummilicious.

This looks delicious and I too love desserts without so much added sugar! will have to give it a try!
garbanzo beans?! no way!! that’s awesome. i’ll have to try it out on the hubs and see if he can tell it’s been healthified
Can’t wait to make this!!!!
I agree, nothing more needs to be said…. Looks delightful and your photos are stunning Amy! Very creative with your chocolate swirls
so inviting… I have never heard of chocolate chip cookie pie before – how fun!
That pie looks absolutely stunning! Beautiful photos too! I love sneaking healthy stuff into baked treats then watching the disbelief on people’s faces when I tell them what they’re made of
That looks fabulous!!!!!!! I want ooey gooey melted chocolate chips NOW!
I love the idea of adding beans to a ooey and gooey chocolate chip cookie pie. At least it would make me feel better about the sugar.
I first thought the title of this post was Chocolate Chip Cookie Party and I was thinking ‘yes please.’ Chocolate Chip Cookie Party is pretty awesome too.
The kids ate it? Then I must try it!
Kids ate it up! And that would of made for a better title!
Wow, Amy, those photos are GORGEOUS!!!
Thanks Katie! I had a great subject though and those chocolate chips sort of make any pic look great!
So you mean if someone gives me a hard time about eating this I can tell them I’m getting in my protein?!? I think I’m in love!
absolutley, I did!
Ooh, yum! I might have to try this for Thanksgiving dessert. I love that it is gluten free–the perfect excuse for me to eat the whole thing, right? Can you honestly not tell there are beans in it?
If you use between 1 and 1/4 to 1/2 cup brown sugar then no you can not taste the beans at all. If you try to cut it down to 1 cup of sugar then I think it becomes apparent that there is a hint of “something” as my friend said.
I’m glad that someone else has tried it, now I *must* give it a go!
go for it! You will love it.
